I can't wait for Mets and Yankees fans to get mad at this question. They whine and moan all the time and act like they're entitled to winning. The Mets and Yankees have some classy players and coaches but the fans for the most part, are loud-mouthed, bitter people.

I'm not bitter and no fan I know of on either side is bitter.
We like to banter back and forth. We even will banter in the off season... I'm a Yankee fan and I enjoy the fun I've had with my Met fan friends over the years... It's their turn now and I'm happy for them.
In all reality, the good times won't last forever and the Yankees will be an "80s" type team again. I wasn't bitter in the 80s and there is no reason to be bitter now. It means I have to "eat crow" a little more often than I did before.
Both sets of fans look forward to 2007 though as "our" years to once again prove to all other New Yorkers who rules the city.

I honestly believe that the Cards would not have kept that 3-1 lead in game 7 if Izzy was on the mound, not that I think he's a bad closer, he just lets us lose those kind of leads more often than he should, but with Wainwright, well we had a better outcome... the Mets, they put up a better fight than Detroit and San Diego put together, but still.... and I was so surprised the Yankees lost the ALDS...perhaps if they hadn't, they might've been World Champs, or even the As if the As beat them... We'll never know, but we don't want to know really, the Cards won!
As my physics teacher says, "There's no such thing as negative time" well, that means you can't go back and change anything....
The Cards are champs and that's that!

about not winning a world series this yr,In fact i rooted for the Cards when the yankees blew it!!, And i rooted for them in 2003,, And last yr,But it's assholes like you that give the Cards fans a bad name,, I'm not bitter about my team not winning

I think you are putting two totally different kinds of fans together because they live in the same city. Met and Yankee fans have nothing in common.Yankee fans expect to win every year and are spoiled front running assholes. Met fans are true blue and loyal. The Mets will win on 07.

I agree, not saying anthing really bad, but you'd NEVER hear the end of it if they did. Im a CARDINALS fan, and they didn't even have to go all the way in my book, ( im really glad they did) just as long as they beat the Mets!
