Have you seen "Breaking the Silence" with John Pilger? If not, it's available freely via YouTube. If you give it a chance by watching it, you will never see things the same way again. It consists of five parts, all of which should definitely be seen. Each part is more interesting than the last.

I realize it's somewhat lengthy. I'm not asking you to watch the entire thing (though that would be best). If you'll just click randomly on any of the five parts and skip around in each segment as fast as you like, it will still be better than not watching at all. It seems that it's often the important things that people avoid and the mundane things with which people occupy themselves.

Yes, as some have pointed out, the first section does deal a lot with one particular woman's struggle. I realize there is struggle in war, but I also realize that this is not legally a war.
If nothing else, just watch a couple of the middle or last parts. Everyone owes it to himself or herself.
I'm beginning to doubt the people in my own country. I'm here trying to shout out what I've learned, but the people around me are more than oblivious, they are actively protesting what I'm presenting.
Please, please watch as much of this as you can. You can skip part one entirely if it bothers you to hear that particular woman's story. It's the future that's at stake, and it's not a distant future, either.

***ATTENTION:
After reading several of the responses posted on here by fellow Americans, I'm not only shocked but disgusted. I'm glad everyone seems to be so up on their propaganda spotting. More and more I am driven to face the hard truth that the people in this country have the government they deserve. With people reacting the way that they do to journalism that tries to expose some hint of truth, I'm not sure if I sympathize with this nation anymore. I'm not sure if I want to live in a place where people don't know there was a third world trade center to fall on 9/11, we're using various methods of torture and actively denying it, we've broken international law, and our president is a war criminal. I've moved, even in the last few moments, from a state of sympathy for the people of this country to a state of utter disbelief and hostility. This country, if it does not WAKE THE F*CK UP, will face a very grim future.
