I am reading a young adult book called Summer of My German Soldier. It is good, but sad.
A 13 year old Jewish girl hides a Nazi in her garage. She befriends him because her parents are abusive and he is one of the few kind people in her life.

The last adult fiction book I read was The Blue Bottle Club by Stokes. It is set in the present but has flashacks to the Great Depression. Fascinating read, definitely one of my favorites.

I just finished reading (for the 2nd time round) The Devil Wears Prada. If you haven't read it- you definately should. Other than that, a recommended read is Bergdorf Blondes by Plum Sykes or Sex & the city by Candace Bushnell. But these are great books if your into chick lit.
If you want classics, read the importance of being earnest by Oscar Wilde. And if your into crime thriller, then Along Came a Spider by James Patterson.

Im reading the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Best books Ive ever read.
Kinda a futuristic/post apocolypse setting with a gunslinger named Roland. He incorporates many of his other books into the plots of these books. Books such as The Stand and Salem's Lot.

Anything by Danielle Steel is good (if you like sorta sad books)

If you're a teen, the CLIQUE series by Lisi Harrison is so cute, it's sorta like "Mean Girls"
-Also, teens (like me) like anything by Meg Cabot, like the Princess Diaries, All-American Girl, Ready or Not

Again, if you're an adult, Meg Cabot also writes some older books, like Size 12 Is Not Fat, The Boy Next Door, She Went All the Way, Every Boy's Got one

Happy Reading ;)

Read "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" by Gregory McGuire.

It's about the social, religious, political, and distorted views on what good and evil really are.
Some other themes are: belonging, relationships, and right and wrong.
There is also a touch of magic.

I just finished On Agate Hill. It tells the story, mostly using her diary, of a girl who was 13 when the US Civil war ended until her death. I really enjoyed it. It takes place in South Carolina.
