Here is why... The economy is kicking butt. It is robust, vibrant, strong and growing. Unemployment is almost nil for a major economy. The Dow is hitting record highs. Wages have risen dramatically. Gas prices have plunged. Since 9/11, no terrorist attacks have occurred on U.S. soil. Productivity is surging and has grown by a strong 2.5 percent over the past four quarters. The Prescription Drug Program is working. Bush has kept his promise of naming conservative judges. The deficit has been cut in half. If the Democrats take congress there WILL be political deadlock because all the Democrats want to do is NOTHING. They have no plan or policy.. obstruct and stalmate is all we will get from the no agenda Democrats. VOTE REPUBLICAN FOR A STRONG AMARICA.

RI those are such false statements. The truth is in the 36 months since the Bush tax cuts ended the recession that began under President Clinton, the economy has experienced astonishing growth. Over the first half of this year, our economy grew at a strong 4.1 percent annual rate, faster than any other major industrialized nation. This strong economic activity has generated historic revenue growth that has shrunk the deficit. A continued commitment to spending restraint has also contributed to deficit reduction.

Ri, if property values are "plummeting" why are there 5 house on my street for sale all over $800,000 in asking price?

Oh, and I greatly dislike giving all money to the government so they can control everybody's lives, ergo I will be voting Republican.

It seems those who disagree here are the ones who want the country to raise and take care of them and their family. They should be thankful that if they wanted to work, there is a job available. If a parent wants their child to be educated, there is a school to take that child. Kind of funny who said a while back: Ask not what your country can do for you but....... I never hear the democrats use this phrase. I guess they don't want to lose votes.

the economy is about where it was when he started... the stock market is up about 200 points from the day he was elected to now... that's not much for 6 years... it can go up 100 points in one day...

unemployment is actually higher than the day he was elected...

gas prices are still higher by like 50 or so cents than the day he was elected

he cut the huge deficit he created in half...

the vast majority of the problems are ones that he's created and then solved himself... sorry I'm not jumping for joy that it took him 6 years for us to get back where we started for the most part...

the perscription drug program is actually not horrible... it doesn't allow the government to use it's barganing power, but overall, it's not a bad thing...

thanks for a lot of propaganda... and congrats on one semi-successful peice of legislation in 6 years of control...

Oh--you left something out: our poverty rate, especially among seniors and children, is sky-rocketing. The gap between the poor and the rich is expanding rapidly, and the no child left behind garbage is leaving kids behind, because the teachers only teach the test, and leave out everything else you and I learned in school.
You also omitted the thousands of americans killed in a war Bush started, using terrorism as a front, "because he tried to kill my daddy" (quote of Bush when he was running for president, saying he was going to remove Saddam from power--he did at our soldiers' expense).
Not to mention almost 10,000 soldiers that will be permanently maimed from the war. Or the tens of thousands of Iraqis that have been killed, many of them children since the average population is only 15.
The Deficit has been cut in half--get real. Maybe from last year's high, but overall it is out of control, and we had a surplus before Bush went into office.
I was a strong Reagan Republican, but this party in power now has no resemblance to the proud and honest party under Reagan. They have craved power, and more power, and even have taken steps to tear down our constitution and restrict our rights--something that probably has Reagan spinning in his grave. Maybe he will come back and haunt the demons we have in Congress and the White House now.

A deficit, I may add, that was caused by George Bush. And what about gas prices rising while George was in office? Naming conservatives judges means nothing if the law is not enforced equally. And what about Harriet Miers, which was strictly a self-serving appointment?
