you need to focus on the woman you married not what she looks like after carrying YOUR child for 9 months. Be a little more sensitive ok? it could go back to normal with few stretch marks or even large stretch marks all women are different and some even have extra flab that just "hangs" there! So look forward to your beautiful wife. I still can't believe you had the nerve.

I have 3 and one on the way, from personal experience and not just hear say...I worked out intensely before I got pregnant with my 3rd and it looked great the day of delivery and felt firmer than with my first two. I did not work out after 4 months so that is not that important...but also genetics play the biggest role. I have always had a flat stomach, to the surprise of my midwife, the moment the baby is delivered.

If your wife was in good shape before baby then usually she will bounce back after having a baby. Of course it might not be as flat as before but hey look what you get out of the deal, a beautiful miracle.

She needs to confirm her ob/gyn. that is not unusual to seem 4 months pregnant 2 months after the start in spite of the indisputable fact that the tummy is in a lot of situations particularly mushy. She may also income from some counseling or drugs for the tearfulness. It sounds like she has quite extreme expectancies of herself or perhaps as being in good structure is admirable, beating herself up for not having a suitable body will in basic terms damage her.

It all depends on her stomach muscles before getting pregnant , what she is doing to keep in shape during pregnancy, and exercises she plans on doing AFTER her doctor tells her the time to resume activity( after birth.)

Who cares what it looks like. After months without, your face should mostly be next to hers, and your mouth on hers every minute the baby isn't crying, so you have no need to see her stomach. Be quick though, because until the little one starts sleeping all night, she needs to take a nap whenever the baby does.

It'll be squishy and sort of floppy until it gets back to how it was before she was pregnant. If she has stretch marks now, she will still have them after, though they might lighten as her belly shrinks back. For some women, it takes a while for the belly to "bounce back."

why don't you rub a super rich moisturiser into it every day - it will be relaxing for her and it will help the skin to retain its elasticity
a really good one is-
http://www.kiehls.com/_us/_en/catalog/product.aspx?CatCode=AXE_Body&TopCat=F1_Moisturizers_Body&prdcode=259
the above cream on the link is nice - but any health food store will have a natural vitamin e oil or some belly cream.
that should prevent stretch marks a bit.

It will look like a deflated balloon. Some are worse than others and it does get better over time.
Just don't be mean about it, it's not like we want it to look like that!

Stretch marks, maybe jiggly like jello, extra skin. Depending on her size and weight. Bloated looking maybe. it takes time to get back to normal.
