You set your iron to the highest temperature THAT IS SAFE FOR THE FABRIC you are ironing the design onto, not the highest setting of your iron.

Generally, the fabric will be cotton or linen that you use to embroider the design, but T-shirts and other projects might have some polyester, that will be damaged by heat that is meant for cotton or linen.

The iron should be at the highest temperature.
Place the transfer where you want it.
Pin in place.
Turn the material to the wrong side
use a cloth to protect the material
Iron in place.
If you dampen the cloth a little (provided the material won't get damaged by water) it will adhere stronger.
