As you can see by the other responders, most of these sanctimonious people believe everything they see on TV. However, you and I know the truth about the "justice" system.

My husband has done 26 years of a 41 year sentence. Even tho the judge said he would probably only do ten years, the parole board refused to parole him. He was charged with RICO, and possessing less then 4 ounces of cocaine. No murder, no child molesting, no animal cruelty. He had an excellent institutional record with no problems, established wellness programs for other prisoners so they'd stand a chance of living through their sentences and to create self-respect, and has always conducted himself with respect.

If your boyfriend has a long sentence (has to, since he still qualifies for parole), that means he didn't rat out anyone else, and was probably betrayed by others who got a shorter sentence. Correct???

THe parole board is so screwed up it's pathetic. They created a fictitious murder from another man's statement clearing my husband of another crime, and now use it against him also. As you know, trying to get that BS straightened out is almost impossible. They can do whatever they want, and you wind up mortgaging your house to pay a lawyer to present the facts to a judge so the guy can come home as provided by law.

They don't have to stick to their own laws or rules---they are a bureaucracy, overworked, understaffed, and not terribly qualified.

Check out my husband's web site, and if you have any questions or want to talk about it further, EMail me.

What did he do? Thats what I want to know. I really do hope he is better, otherwise dont waste your time. You need to find out if he really is a great guy that deserves you. Many women make the mistake of being with a guy that ends up being a bad choice. Dont make that bad choice. Dont forget that there must be a Reason why he hasnt got parole by now. I trust the people keeping him there WAY more then I would trust him. He might just have to serve full term.... maybe its not a bad thing.

nothing you can do about the parole board, In general they look at thier prison record and also review any family statements fo the victims that may be on file to be read at hearings also.

The thing about a parole hearing is they dont NEED a reasone to denie it. He should fully expect to serve the entire term for the crime he commited.

What a noble thing for you to do... spend your energy and resources on a guy who obviously enjoys your sympathy. Maybe the boy will think 4 or 5 times before he commits another feloney...

well, maybe whatever it is he did was so horrendous, that even if he is a model prisoner, the parole board does not think he deserves it.
