i have used several including the one in this forum. Some are better than others but I have found the spell check on the Google Toolbar better than average. I would recommend it.

I would say about 99% accurate, normally its punctuation that it doesnt pick up (in my experience) I always seem to get my paper handed back with an error or 2. It really only misses words that are spelt almost like other words so you spell the one when you really want the other. Normally they pick up grammer such as Their there they're ect.

Always gets someone else to proof read your stuff for you (as it has been proven that it is really hard to find your own spelling mistakes and you only need the first letter and last letter to be right to read the word).

Judging from the stinking spelling of most Yahoo Answers users, Yahoo's spell checker is better than them. I wish all of you would use the spell checker.

But quit often I still find that the spell checker does not have some worlds. Spell checkers are limited. And sometimes I have to experiment with several spellings before the spell checker comes up with the correct word and its spelling.

As accurate as your grammar. Spell checkers allow the wrong word to be placed in text as long as the wrong word is spelled correctly. Their, now you have the answer.

For the language in general use they are reasonably good; however, for things like medical, legal, and other technical subjects they are pretty bad until you add spellings to a "custom" dictionary. Most of them allow this addition.

Spell checks are not always right. Especially when it comes to names.

They are fairly acc. However, if you use the wrong version of a word or a word that sounds like another it will not catch it.
Example: "Wear" a sweater. Where did you get all that kitchen "ware."

There is no substitute for proofreading your own work.

Their is know substitute four proofreading you're own work.

They're is Noh substitute fore proofreading your own work.

Spellcheckers will accept all of the above, but only the first is correct.
