Up against the Wall! Actually, some states allow you to do community service to pay it off. Unless, of course it's one of those money hungry states.

Most states increase the fine on a monthly basis. Ask your folks for help as this will continue to increase.

I doubt that an arrest warrent has been issued. You would receive notice of this first!

As to the original reason ... start wearing a seat belt everytime you get into a car, whether you are driving or not! It very well could save your life or the life of another. It is most helpful to the driver as they are able to stay in control of the vehicle better if they are strapped in!

IMHO, Buckle up!

pay it before you have to pay bail too.
Usually they will let you pay the ticket and the late fee if you show up, they will drop the warrant, but if they get to you before its paid.....well....
and the late fee... should be just once.
Have you received the letter saying there is a warrant? How do you know that.
Mail the court office a money order and contact info, in a show of good faith. And stay out of that state until it is paid and resolved.

Just go pay it... In michigan it is only a one time fee if you pay it with in 90 days (i think) But i just paid on a ticket for my husband and his warrant was released..... just carry the paper with you that states you paid it. They can't arrest you for something you already paid for and charge you twice.... if you want give the money to someone who can go to the court house and pay it for you if you are afraid of going to jail.

I would just like to point out that the officer who gave you that damn ticket might have saved your life.

And they also could loose theirs tomorrow, protecting the community that consists of you and the people you love.

Just to put it in perspective.
Other than that I'd say make sure you pay it right away, I have people brought in on failure to pay charges all of the time, nothing like loosing your license over a seatbelt violation.

It's not a question... it's a WHINE. You broke the law, you failed to pay the fine... now you'll pay the penalties.

Get to court, pay your fines, and learn from your mistakes.

Lucky you... in California the ticket is $250

How many times have I seen them advertise on TV that not wearing your seatbelt is against the law? It's hard to feel sorry for someone who knows better but does something illegal anyway and gets caught at it. If you can't pay the fine, don't do the crime.

Your in college and you still have not learned about physics? Here is a little lesson... an object (you) going 70 MPH hits a block wall... You're dead... even if your just the passenger.

What's wrong with this question??

Are you the only person who does not know you can get a ticket for taking care of your own safety???

Just pay up!!

Take responsibility!

Someday your children will thank you!
