Beth: Ever hear of the saying, "I don't want her but I don't want anyone else to have her "! This applies to when you are occupied with doing "things" too. He is being a typical husband of the North American culture. Remember; most guys think their wives or girl friends are like "one of the boys" - never making the connection with the fact that both, men and women are "wired" different. Tell him to start reading books on male and female relationships - there are plenty of good books out there , on the subject. This will reignite your marriage relationship (if he puts the head knowledge into action). Yes; guys is dumb !!! I'm a guy and can tell you from experience. Good luck to ya !!!!

I'm sorry. I used to do the same thing to my wife, and it took me almost losing her because I felt that I had to be the center of attention, and it all had to be about me.
He needs to realize that he needs to think about you, and your feelings and needs more than his own. And when he's not getting al the attention that he needs to not expect the attention all the time.
Hope this helps.
Take care and God Bless

He wants to be the center of your world. He can't be when you are thinking about something else. It is one trait that husbands all share. They know when the wife is busy doing her own thing then the want her attention.

Oh honey, I have the same thing going on...he watches TV, and then if I try and talk to him, he doesn't hear me, BUT let me get on my Yahoo Answers...and he says "how come you don't want to work on our problems?"...I do believe men are like little boys--only bigger...Kinda like when the phone rings, and mom gets on it, and the kids all go bonkers for her attention???Same thing.

He wants to think that you need him all the time and once that you shown him that you dont need him to have fun he wants to step in so you will once again turn your attention towards him thats how most men are

Because most husbands are attention screamers. Cater to him for 10 minutes and then continue what your doing.

So feel good and ignore him as much as you can. Or talk to him and let him know how you feel.
