Sorry but your daughter is very ill right now.
She REALLY needs to go to the doctor. Above 103 can cause permanent brain damage.

My daughter used to have HIGH (105) fevers once a month. The dr never found out why. She just outgrew them. Her pediatrician recommended that we 1) alternate between tylenol and motrin every 3 hours. 2) give her a tepid bath. NOT cold!!! With a fever that high, you could probably make the water temp like you normally do and it would still be cooler than her body temp. Don't get her too cold too fast!!! 3) Keep her naked, just a diaper. She will not get cold, it probably feels good. 4) PLENTY of fluids. Popcicles, water, pedialyte. NO MILK!! She will throw it up. (Puked up milk is nasty!!!) Don't worry about solids. She's probably not hungry. If she won't drink any fluids, try a new FUN sippy cup. We found some cool ones shaped like a fish. It worked.
These are the steps we took monthly with our daughter. It always worked. Our pediatrician did not recommend an ER visit unless the fever was OVER 104 at that age. Even when her temp reached 105, we didn't take her in. We just followed the above steps. Just be calm. She will be fine. Call her Dr. to be sure you are giving her enough meds. Hope she gets better soon!

Don't forget a fever is an indication of another problem! I have been there and the first thing I did was give a cool bath, that has helped bring it down before. If that does not work I would take her to the Doctor! I would not continue giving advil unless doctor recommends. It could disguise and mask the real issue, which you need to find out why she has such a high temp!

First of all I'm not a doctor and no expert, but am a father of three and have gone through the ear infections and pneumonia. Advil usually lasts for three to four hours. Get a towel, wet it with cold water and wipe her down. This will help her keep the fever down. Usually if the fever keeps coming back, and she has a stuffy nose, it may be that she has an ear infection. Sometimes it helps to switch up from advil to motrim. You should call your pediatrician as soon as you can.

Rubbing Alcohol
Soak a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol & lightly rub it on the bottoms of her feet.
I think she should see a doctor though. 104 is awful high for a toddler........She may have an infection that requires antibiotics & that is why her temp will not go down & stay down.....
I say a visit to the e.r. is a good idea.....

whilst this handed off to my Daughter they made me strip her down and get her out interior the crisp air. After approximately 40 5 minutes it ultimately began coming down. It sounds like her physique is making an attempt to combat off the two an infection or a virulent disease. How long has her temperature been this severe? Does she have the different indications? i might flow forward and supply her something to help with the temperature like Tylenol and see if that helps and if it would not I propose calling the well-being care expert interior the morning. now and back the fever will spike and injury for the period of the evening. merely save an ear and eye out for her.

Give her Tylenol Infant Drops. Give her the measured recommended dose every 4 hours. Check her temp at every dose. You can also wipe her down with cool cloths. If her temp doesn't go down by the 2nd dose, contact her pediatrician.

I would most definitely take her to the ER, I took my son for 104.8 and I was told that ANY time it gets that high it's by far too risky to try to use at home remedies. Doctors are trained to handle these kinds of things, if nothing else you should be able to call your physicians after hours line and they'll tell you what your best options are.

you need to call the hospital, temps that high are a big concern in children because they can cause seizures. you need to alternate meds not gibe str8 advil. give motrin and then 3 to 4 hrs later tylenol and keep goin back and forth. this is what the dr advised me to do
