well the title explains it all, The Break-Up, so I'm guessing that is why it ended the way it did, it was a movie about a break-up not about breaking up and getting back together

b/c for everything she was trying to do to get him back, he wasn't jealous, and just making it worse as if he didn't care, and then he stood her up for the concert that she was trying to get him back at and she realized that is how it is going to be. yes, she messed up trying to make him jealous, but he messed up too by not saying sorry. you can't stay with someone that you need to go through all that trouble with just to get an i'm sorry out of

i dont know what movie ur talking about, but if ppl break up @ the end of any movie, it usually means theres gonna be another one, and u gotta watch the next one to see wat happens. btw, what movie was it?
