Insurance inspector said they should have tilted tubs slightly when they built the house two years ago. Thinking about putting in shower doors but not sure this will help.

I BELIEVE I UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM. PUT IN SHOWER DOORS AND PUT GASKET UNDER THE BOTTOM GLIDE TO MAKE A GOOD WATERTIGHT SEAL. CAULK THE BOTTOM GLIDE ALSO WITH A GOOD TUB CAULK. THAT SHOULD MAKE A DAM SO WATER WON'T RUN OUT AND DOWN THE SIDE OF THE TUB.

Tub should have been installed level not tilted. Manufactures make the tubs with a slight pitch built into them. You need to make sure the curtain is shut when the shower is used or install doors as you said. If you decide to use the doors make sure and seal them to the tub and the walls.

Apply caulk to seal water out from tub to tile joints. Be sure the tile grout is in good condition also.

If you do go the shower door route, same thing....caulk the joints to seal the water inside the tub area.
