You don't have to use your head :). Use your heart. It will go great. No need to stress about it so much. Just try to have a good time. Cancers are very sensitive, insecure, and not-trusting (out of the fear to get hurt), even though mostly always look over-confident. They need constant (!) re-assurance that they look good and that you genuinely like spending time with them. They LOVE when you are interested and ask questions about their past, like about their memories of their childhood, hometown, and parents. You will win Cancer's heart right away if you ask questions about the good old times when he was growing up. Be careful though, because he will get so-o attached that you will end up being to him like a mother.

Your first date after 22 years will likely be similar to your first date ever, except you will be smarter and much more mature. If he's a quality person, then he will be sure to make you feel comfortable. You should let him know that it's your first date in 22 years. He should respect it and do what he can to accomodate. Odds are, you shouldn't expect a super romantic date. You should be expecting one where you have the opportunity to get to know the guy and be treated with respect by him. If you're looking for miracles, then you're setting yourself up for a fall. You may be lucky and he may be special, but only time will tell. If it's worth having a second date and so on, you will know. But don't do it if you feel it's not worth it.

I guess you can invite him to your house after your date, beause going to the pier sounds kinda BORING, and plus, you need to make a strong relationship with our boyfriend. Afterall, you like him, don't you?
