i just wanna say :
i support his cause and that he is brave! ,its cool that he fights ,of course, and i hope he gets better with cell research.
he is so unique as an actor, and as a person of course
someone said he should stay out of politics and stick to acting , good point.

I totally agree with you. I love him too, and it really is horrible that someone would accuse him of acting the disease and not really having it or not having it that bad. He does have it that bad, and I admire him for being so strong and I admire him for having the strength to continue in his fight for a cure. He is a wonderful actor and person :)

Yeah, life or the lack thereof can really suk sometimes. I think he's very courageous to remain in the public eye despite the parkinsons. It's a devastating disease, as are many others that may one day benefit from stem cell research!! You Go, MJF!!

Yes...when anyone has a disease whether it be cancer, HIV, Alzheimer's and even Parkinson's it is a horrible affair. But see...this is the thing...it happens to everyone. What makes people feel sorry for MJ Fox and his disease but not my grand-mom and hers? I guess it is because he is a public figure.
Public figures also have a way of utilizing devastating situations to help themselves or other people. Even though this is human nature it is still a bit caddy especially if you make it seem worse to the public than it normally is. This was the argument that Rush Limbaugh used. I cannot say for certain that his comments were validated or not. I can say that I have seen MJ Fox on TV and during interviews and he was able to control his tremors...mysteriously when he is trying to bolster a political campaign all the sudden limbs are flying and everything. I dunno what the right answer is.

It's hard not to feel bad for him. I think he's a very brave
individual for taking a stand on such a hot topic as
Stem Cell research. He just wants to find a cure for himself & millions of others with Parkinsons Disease.

I really admire the guy, and I don't think he would want anyone's pity. I think you should love him for who he is. Surely that's all he wants. Yes, it is bad that there doesn't seem to be any hope. We lost Christopher Reeves, too, who seemed to be such a nice guy. Life is not fair, nor is death. All we can do it meet it with dignity.

What he is doing is great. People who don't support stem cell research should sign a contract taking away their ability (and their future generations - just to get the point across) to ever benefit from the research that will inevitably happen.

I am not sad when I see him because I have a chronic illness as well. I am very moved that he is an advocate and is showing himself as he is and struggling along. It is awesome that he is not hidding ashamed of what this illness has robbed him of and is doing his best to get help for himself and others with Parkinson's.

I saw the video that he did with Katie Kouric yesterday, and he's really getting on bad with the Parkinsons, it's really sad that Rush Limbaugh had to claim that Mike was using his disease to gain favor, even if it was true, Rush didn't need to do that.

Yes. I really liked him in Family Ties and the Back to the Future trilogy. He's still so young and he looks like an old man. That shouldn't happen to anybody.
