my girlfriend is 40weeks praganat,sense last nite she being having contractions,on and off.is any woman knows about it .it is good or bad
she looks realy tired and always is blowing her whisle ...
it is real painfull come to this stage ?
please if is any woman there with the same sintoms i will like to have some help or any one else knows about r situation.
will it take long for the baby to rise to the world ???

She may be doing that for a while... I hate to say it though. Keep up with the contractions and when they get to be consistant, head to the hospital.

well if she goes into labor then either her water will break, or she will have contractions that are so painful that she will tell you. The last weeks in pregnancy are tough, you are irratable and just want it all over with. I would suggest mabey going for walks, or going for a bumpy car ride, this can stimulate labor, also sex can do this too. check out:http://www.babycenter.com then search Labor and Labor symptoms and Inducing Labor and you will learn alot. good luck.

Time the distance your contractions are APART. When they are constantly the same time and distance then you are in labor..Good luck.. 5 min or less. Don't wait for the water to break you need to be at the hospital at that time...L

It is better to be safe than sorry. Please take her to the hospital. She may be ready for delivery. The water will not always break - This was my case. Also, it is possible that it has broken but she may not have noticed. Please don't wait too late and take a chance with her or the baby's life. If you are too soon they will definitely let you know.

If the contractions are coming close together, you better get her to the Dr. since she's 40 weeks alond they should just let nature run it's course.. Also let her know that if she waits till too late to get to the hospital, she may not be able to get an epidural, and I don't care what any one else says and epi is the best!! Good luck and congrats!! Now get her to the damn hospital, unless you want to have a home birth!!! :)

The best way to stop guessing and to get assurance is to bring her to the doctor. Do it now before it gets to the point that she can't stand because of too much pain, Better to be sure than to regret it later.

IF SHE IS IN ALOT OF PAIN YES SHE IS IN LABOR ..CONTRACTIONS THAT COME EVERY 5 MINUTES OR LESS GOOD TO THE HOSPITAL
