I am researching starting a company that sells promotional products to local businesses - imprinted tee shirts, calendars, pens, etc. Just began my research.

Does anyone know where I can BUY the products? I assume it must be overseas places only but am not sure about that. And if so, where, exactly? Anyone know of any places? URLs? Names and cities (I will find their contact info). Thank you SO much for your help!

I agree the market is saturated. I worked for one of these companies for a while - the customers are extremely rude, orders don't arrive on time and the quality can vary from vendor to vendor.

If you really want to do it good luck, but I think you could find a much better business to get into. Some companies where you can buy stuff include logomark, giftcor, numo, tranter, american accents, lioncircle, and american zebra. Please keep in mind they only sell to asi members.

If it is your dream best of luck to you - I am sure you can do extremely well.

This is an extreemely saturated market. You can buy some things cheaper overseas, but then you have to worry about order times, shipping times and so fourth. Id go work for a company already established first, learn the business, then go out on your own. There are different organizations you will need to join to get the prices from suppliers that make it worth it. These organizations charge around $3000 to join.

Good Luck, welcome to the battlefield.

I'd contact a business that already does this and see what they do.
