recommend some good bands and if you could also name some songs by the band that'd be great..

please no country or rap..
stick to any type of rock. i like music with meaningful lyrics. or music that i can actually make out what they're saying..
it doesn't matter if it's old bands or new ones.
so yeah if you think you have good taste in music share.

Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young was a super group with such hits as Suite: Judy Blue Eyes, Ohio, Woodstock. Also, you might check out Chicago, Some songs by Chicago are Color My World, Make Me Smile, Beginnings. The Eagles would be another good choice with Desperado, Hotel California, Take it Easy. And the Moody Blues were one of my favorite bands with their signature song, Knights in White Satin
