I would think it's because they were taught to be this way, even though the skin color of a person shouldn't make a difference. You should pay more attention to a person's intentions and the way you are treated. A long time ago, people were afraid of things that they didn't know anything about. Now that you have access to the internet and can research whatever you want, there is no excuse for being ignorant.

This is called racism. People could be racist for several reasons:
-They may have "absorbed" the beliefs toward other races from their parents/family/etc.
-They may be afraid because it is different than what they know/are used to
-They may have had a past experience with someone who has a dark complexion and believed that all those who looks similar would also act similar
These are the top reasons I can think of, but I am sure there are more...

for some people it's because of what happened hundreds of years ago with the whole martin luther kind episode and his freedom speech. with that, many african americans also with asians, and hispanics rebelled against many caucasians. that's why they're mad. others aren't really that racism to darkskin people it's just the stereotypes that make them judge.

They aren't worth considering. People like that should look closely at themselves. The world is full of many different kinds, but all human.

Ignorance; fear; conditioning from past experiences; learned hatred from their family, friends, people around them; assumed stereotypes; unjustified association of people with those that did them wrong; etc.
