they dont work on the really tough algea. and there are different stregnth magnets, you need to get a really strong one.

Heck YES! If algae on the inside of your tank is a problem.

It's not in mine. I have a lot of "cleaner" fish and snails. About once a year, I'll just immerse a clean rag in there and rub off the excess.

i bought one a little over a year ago and it works great. cleas up any alge that the Plecos dont get.

these actually work great if you have alot of build up on the inside of you tank...
