I think that what you're looking for is an "Affiliate Program", which is where you post advertisers' banners on your site, and when someone who's on your site clicks on the banner, and gets taken to the advertiser's site, makes a purchase, then you get the commission.

Here are a number of companies who offer affiliate programs:

Every banner ad at the bottom of the page links you to a company that offers you affiliate programs.

Good luck, I hope I helped.

You know if you use Google Adsense you will have other businesses advertising on your website. The best thing about that is when visitors click on the Google Adsense Ads, you get paid! Google Adsense uses ads that only pertain to your site.
So if your website is about dogs then that Googles ads will pertain to dogs. So its a win win situation for you.

You need to show that your web page is seen in enough volume by the target audience the potential advertiser is attempting to reach.

Does your web page reach a specific target audience? Are you measuring how many hits? Are you promoting it using traditional media?

Get people to see it first. Advertisers buy eyeballs. If you don't have any, no one cares what's on your website. Period.
