This is a very good question and I sadly can only give you my opinion on this question. I believe that because sodomy is against the beliefs in the Bible that many take it to mean that God will hate those who commit sodomy. I think that even though my God is vengeful he is mostly a loving God. You must remember that the Bible was written by man not God it is an interpretation, someone else's thoughts and ideas. It isn't that I don't put much stock in the Bible, it has been found that there are many discrepancies. I feel that you should, love everyone as you love yourself and treat all people with kindness, and not judge lest ye be judged. I hope that I was more that a little help.

I have no idea...whoever says that are ignorant! Some people just dislike anything different or new to them... so some people use the way they may interpret the bible as an exuse to hate whatever it is thats different. Thats just my opinion, and everyone has there own veiws..whatever the reason may be THOSE PEOPLE ARE IGNORANT! Everyone is the same in gods eyes no matter whom they like..men or women.

I dont think he hates God people cuz he loves all of His which is who we are...it's just that God didn't command for the same sex to be with each other which is why he created Adam and Eve...but he doesn't hate you!

As creatures that are hugely sensitive to social conditions, we tend to have social groups which we identify most strongly with, while we fear, mistrust, or even discriminate against people we perceive as being at odds with our groups. For those of us who believe in one supreme being, we also tend to portray that being in our own image.

So for Christians and Christian-minded heterosexuals, who perceive homosexuals as being some sort of aberration, it's easy to see how they can believe in a God that hates those types of people.

Ignorance, being narrow minded, being judgemental, discriminating against group of people& placing themself above that group. Not minding their own business. Not filling their own hearts with love for all human beings. Assuming that they know how God feels. Assuming that God doesn't love us equaly & unconditialy.

Leviticus 18:22

V22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Lie 7901 shakab (shaw-kab'); a primitive root; to lie down (for rest, sexual connection, decease or any other purpose).

Abomination 8441 tow` ebah (to-ay-baw'); or to` ebah (to-ay-baw'); feminine active participle of 8581; properly, something disgusting (morally), i.e. (as noun) an abhorrence; especially idolatry or (concretely) an idol.
8581 ta` ab (taw-ab'); a primitive root; to loathe, i.e. (morally) detest.

Men having sexual connections with other men is morally disgusting in God's eyes. As we will see in the New Testament, so is women with women.
Leviticus 20:13

V13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

The word lie in this verse means the same thing as it does in Leviticus 18:22 Once again God is telling us that He does not approve of homosexuality and that it is a sin.

It says it's an abomination. I don't see that it says he hates them

because people by nature don't like anyone different and they sure as hell don't like change... they are ignorant and trying to back up illegitimate reasoning... try asking them this..."If God hates gay people why did he create them?!"

Probably has something to do with the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah because of the immoral gay lifestyle. Do you think if he loved queers he would have destroyed the cities? People turn gay by choice. God gave us freewill and Satan exploits that.

I am not gay (being married and with one son) but I can still answer that question easily:

Anyone who thinks they know the mind of God is insane - NO ONE can know the mind of God and still be mortal. Those who think that love is so narrow minded are narrow minded themselves, with no concept of "Love thy Neighbor".

So what if two men find that they can love each other more than they can love a woman? More power to them, at least they have found happiness with each other, something other people can't seem to tolerate. My opinion is, they don't try to force their beliefs on me (UNLIKE RELIGIONS), so I have a live and let live policy.

.......................................................................................
And for those (to paraphrase Carlos Mencia) DEE-DEE-DEE people, remember this:

Before you attend to the mote in thy Neighbor's Eye, attend to the Beam in thine Own.........
