avogadro's number says there are 6.022*10^23 particles per mole of particles. So if you have .33moles, then you have .33*6.02*10^23 particles. Now these particles are water molecules, since you said .33 moles of water. There are 3 atoms per molecule in water. 2 H, 1O. So, simply multiply the number of molecules that you found above by 3 and you have the number of atoms.

As one mole of water has 6.02 x 10^23 molecules of water, then one third of that would be about 2 x 10^23 molecules.

But each molecule has three atoms in it (2 Hydrogen, 1 Oxygen) so the number of atoms is 3 x 2 x 10^23 or about 6.02 x 10^23 atoms.

In other words the 0.33 and the 3 essentially cancel each other out.

it is a known fact that 1 Mole = 6.02 x 100000000000000000000000 atoms/molecules/ions etc

to keep things simple
1 mole = 6.02 x 10^23
now
u have 0.33mole of water
therefore number of atoms is
0.33 x 6.02 10^23
= 1.9866 x 10^23

In every mole there are Na = 6.02x10^23 molecules so there are 0.33x6.02x10^23 molecules of H2O in 0.33 mol of H2O. Now, because there are three atoms (2 hydrogen and one oxygen atom) in every molecule of water we have:

3x0.33x6.02x10^23 = 6.02x10^23 total atoms in 0.33 moles of water.
