can full black people be attractive? I'm not trying to be mean but the media and society makes it seem like it's not so. Especially with girls. everytime you turn on the t.v. you see a halle berry or tyra banks looking girl on t.v. not a real black one.

You mean a really dark black women, not a real black women. Halle Berry is biracial her mother is white and her father is black, Tyra Ross both parents are black. however, if you research the history because of slavery most of us are mixed. And black folks as white folks come in a shade of different colors. There are some very beautiful dark skinned people in the world. Look at Naomi Campbell, she is not light or fair skinned. Go outside and look around there are some very attractive dark skin men and women probably very close to you, just look. Unfortunately, the media is obsessed with fair skin and they portray this as what is beautiful.For instance they protray very slicky thin as a beautiful woman, how many women are a size zero. We must not gain our view of what is beautful through the media. I believe it is getting better. There are very attractive people in every shade. God bless

Yes - I'm sure you're quite attractive. Each one of us here on this planet are beautiful and you are no doubt being too hard on yourself. I'm white as can be, but I have seen many beautiful black women and continue to do so! Give yourself a pep talk. Love the way you look and try to love that image in your head!

As anothe poster said, most of the Black people in America are mixed. However if you look at people from Africa, you will find strikingly beautiful people, for example Iman? You have not seen many black people at all, have you?

Yes, they can be attractive. Society just conditions all people, including black, that the lighter you are, and the more white features you have, the prettier you are. Bullocks! I'm rejecting that one!

i defiantly agree that the media doesnt show black woman attractivness as much as other races, however, we are still attractive. full black ( as you say) celebraties are more likely to have natural glowing beauty as opposed to lets say the white race. everyday you see another one getting breast implants, botox, liposuction, there striving so hard to get that perfect barbie image and to the media thats attractive.

yes they can and there are but society tends to look at black women with lighter skin and white facial bone structure as more appealing. i dont like it and i wish they would show my darker colored sistas more respect. is not fair.

There are original light skin black tribes in Africa. the look you call "mixed" is full black
