Through the loss of their dad to cancer when you hurt too?

Just be there for your friend. It's hard to be company when you are grieving. Just be around and let your friend talk if they want.

Be there for them. Cry with them and , hug..
Help them in their household if you can. do dishes, help prepare meals, tidy up.drive them whaere they need to go,, do errands... Do whatever you can to help. Spend lots of time with your friend, don't leave them alone. If they want you to go with them to the funeral chapel,do it.
Don't worry about doing anything spectacular. it is more important to be their soft place to fall and express their grief...

the best thing you should and can do is pray for your friend be there for her talk to her talk about the memories she had with her dad if she is willling to

actions are louder than words - your presence with her/ him is the most important thing. spare as much time as you can with her/ him. just being around for one another is sufficient
