get someone to help give you options (friend, school counselor, etc...)?

We need more information- how old is your teen? Boy or Girl? And how defiant is he/she? What options have you tried? We can't help you if you don't give us a few basic details.

Well, you can pack their little suitcase, with ONLY the basics, no cells, no iPods, no cd players...and tell them that life is a big ocean and maybe it is time to take a swim...Or you can have a cop come down to your house, and talk to them, or a youth counselor, or have them take a tour of a juvenile facility, or a real adult jail with a complete "walk thru"...you can always go to court and have them removed from your legal responsibility...(cant remember what it is called) and that way, if and when anything happens, YOU as a parent are not held responsible for their actions, THEY are.

just visit the local jail. He will see that life is not so good there. If you call the police station they can set up a appointment where you can come do this. My hubby is a cop and they get alot of visits by bad teens, it often changes the way they think. good luck.

Have you tried the belt? That works for most if not all teen kids. whoop them until you've said all you got to say and i guarantee they'll listen then. I f they don't i don't know what to tell you.

More details on defiant...like is he/she doing drugs? having sex? drinking? not doing homework? not doing chores? sneaking out at night? stealing?

Put he or she out into the real world to see how hard it would be without you and your rules.
