I found one last week while travelling. The people had smiles on their faces, made jokes/ conversation and it was just great. In fact, I ask one of them if all the people in the state are that way and she pretty much agreed. The state in which I live does not compare and the person even mentioned that. She was correct too.

Usually the southern states have friendlier people. I live in the midwest, and so many people around here are complete jerks. I've never been to the south, but judging by people I know who have, they say everyone is more laid back and genuinely nice.

I've been to most states in the south, southwest,midwest and northwest. Minnesota has some of the friendliest people around as does the Dakotas.

I've lived all around the world. The friendliest people are in Minnesota.

I would say either New York Vermont or Hawaii, I would say either Nevada or California as the least friendliest
