Wow, let me see. I am 29 and I still watch cartoons. The Simpsons and The Venture Brothers and Family Guy. So, there is nothing wrong with a guy who likes cartoon-especially a cartoon that is aimed for adults.
Videogames? Well, since I do not own any video games and I usually play games over the Internet, I would not find that so bad. It all depends on how many hours said spouse was spending and if it was cutting into my sex life (because if he would rather play a game then to try to f'uck my brains out, then we do have a serious problem here).
So, I would go for a guy who is afraid of bugs as being worse. Bugs, to me, is okay. As for mice, I cannot stand them. They are disease carrying rodents who should be destroyed! So, if he can't stand a mouse, then, you have to understand, they could spread diseases far and wide. But bugs? I would still say that, even with the mouse invloved, a man who is afraid of bugs is worse then any man playing video games and watching cartoons.

As long as he's not obsessed with cartoons and video games, I'd say that part is ok. I'm 32 and I'd love to meet a guy that is also an anime/game fan. As for the being afraid of bugs part, that's just crazy. He should be macho about that kind of thing. My brother is afraid of spiders, but he tries really hard to hide it. And a cat would do wonders for the mice.

Boy, that's hard...my husband plays video games and watches cartoons (as do I) which really isn't bad at all, but he takes care of all the spiders in the house, which is nice. I can kill a spider, but I'd rather he did it. I'm not afraid of mice, though we've never had one loose in the house before.

However, I do have a guy friend who's over 6 feet tall, and is TERRIFIED of spiders, which is SO funny. It might not be bad to have a husband like that because you'd laugh yourself silly, and maybe could sell your home videos to AFV.

would you rather have the bug problems go on or have your video game playing hubby who is not scared of bugs(and mice) to take care of it for you.Plus a lotta guys still play video games as adults but it's kinda bad for a guy to be scared of bugs & vermin as a grown-up.
as long as the video playing doesn't interfere with his ADLs(activities of daily living) and he takes care of the pest problem,be happy with what you have.people tend to forget that NOBODY can be perfect.
even when the time comes when you can customize a robot to fulfill your every need-one day he would eventually malfunction.if machines can't be perfect...you know how it goes.

my husband and i both play video games together, watch cartoons together, and i tell him to kill every bug i see. now, my son has his own controller (can't play yet) watches cartoons, and wants to eat bugs. lol you should share the interests and have fun together... and kick his butt in games where you can be against each other. i don't think it would matter if he was afraid of bugs... women act like they are b/c every woman in the world wants their man to take care of them somehow, but we can kill a little bug!

I'd rather have a bug-phobic mouse-hater than a narcissistic childish, useless lazy bum.

Thumbs down, whatever. Have you ever tried to make a life with someone like that?
