I am one of those women. My daughters are exactly 51 weeks apart. According to my doctor, I have a very high fertility rate. The birth control I was on with ewach of my daughters wasn't strong enough causing the birth control not to work the way it should have. I got on birth control 7 weeks after I had my daughter. I wasn't breastfeeding and got my period very quickly. After being on it for about a month and a half, I became pregnant. He and I argued for a while because he didn't think I could get pregnant a second time on birth control when I finally said "just look at the dates on my chart!!" He finally agreed after checking again. So, I didn't plan to have my kids so close together; it just happened. It is VERY hard on a woman's body to have children this close together. Now I'm stuck with a calcium deficiency, calcium deposits on my teeth, and hair loss. I also nearly lost my second child twice while pregnant and then once again during labor. I claim that she is my miracle baby and she is meant to be here.I don't regret either of my children though; it's not their fault they are so close in age.

It is very very easy to get pregnant soon after having your first. A lot of women think because they just had one they will not get pregnant right away which is a myth. Its not hard on the body, the body is meant to handle things like this. Even if u get pregnant 1 month after your first u will most likely have a happy healthy pregnancy thereafter.

I think for a lot of people it happens on accident because they aren't being careful and some just want their kids to be really close in age. I am 20 weeks with my first baby and I am going to wait at least 3-4 years before I will think of having another one.

It can be hard, but that is what a womens body is made to do. I would suggest waiting at least three months of regular periods before you get pregnant again.

For some people they waited too long and they trying to get them out the way as soon as possible. Some just got the money like that and some just don't care and want to depend on the government to take care of there child.

it is hard on the body, the recomended time to wait before trying for another baby is around 18 months because it takes this long for your body to recover from the first birth!
i know some one who has 6 kids at 10 months apart!!
i dont understand why you would want to rush into another baby when your just enjoying the first one!!

It can be hard on the body. Dr's recommend that you wait at least 12 months before falling pregnant again. Sometimes mother nature kicks in before then.

Women aren't the only ones making the decisions on how many babies they have. They don't get themselves pregnant as much as most poeple like to imply. My wife and I disccussed that we want two kids close in age so they can grow up together.
