They realize that's the kind of thing the ACLU would send a multi-million dollar lawyer to protect, right?

If the Democrats try that, I have a feeling that the ACLU will become the Republican's best friend.

Besides, as soon as Rupert Murdock dies, FOX news will fall apart, that's what you get when a billionaire (ie- a Republican) refuses to invest a news network into a corporation and out of his own pocket book. Of course, doing that would give him less control over what happens on FOX news, so...

Anti-progressive? Are you not being judgmental my holy friend?
Our country was made great on a difference of opinions, but the extremes on each side of those opinions are harmful. To answer your question, these days it would not surprise me if Fox was suppressed. Just agree to disagree

Although if you search through yahoo answers you will see many on the left make the same claims of suppressing of rights. It does work both ways, and is based on personal beliefs!!!

The anti-Progressives you speak of are the neocons, the worst political scourge to ever hit our country, including the McCarthy era. While I'd like nothing more than for Faux news to go away, there will be no move to ban it. That is either wishful thinking or chicken little.

The ACLU has worked on behalf of the Bush administration before. The radical right, of which we have a poster or two here, love to blame the freedoms we enjoy under the constitution when it suits their plans. The ACLU does things that are unpopular at times, but we are a nation of laws, not a Christian, Jewish or Islamic (or any other religion for that matter) nation.

Murdock is already covering his *** by supporting Senator Clinton in NY and making a massive donation to the former president's Clinton Global Iniative. Murdoch is a businessman who doesn't mind if the snake oil he sells poisons America and feeds the idiots like two of the above posters, and he sees the neocons (they aren't real conservatives--read John Dean's book Conservatives Without Conscience to see the difference) about to have their evil asses handed to them this November and in 2008. Roger Ailes, the Nazi in charge at Faux, is the one most likely to lose his job, or if he died, cause a sea change at that GOP propaganda machine pretending to be news. If I had Bill Gates money, I'd buy it out and fire the lot of them, especially Beetlejuice O'Lielly, Sean Vannity, Brit Lessthanhuman, and stop hiring felons like G. Gordon Liddy, or disgraced former marine North, or the worst of them all, Mann Coultergeist. God has a special place in hell for all of them.

For a good look at the world the way Darth Cheney, Dubya and Rummy want, watch V for Vendetta.

The Democrats would ban fox news today if they could, but they will not be able to. Fox news is putting the Communist news network out of business just as Rush put Hot Air America out of business.

the ACLU will never defend the rights of Conservatives...they are anti-USA
the fairness doctrine is what the libbs have in mind...to try to destroy ppl like Rush , Sean,,and countless others....since "dead" air America went bankrupt..
as for Murdock...do you not realize that there are more ppl in the USA that believe in Conservative ideas than the left wing.."drive-by-media"..wants anyone to believe....

It should be called Faux News. They are NOT the most watched news channel. And they've lost thousands of viewers the past year. Fox is a puppet channel of the GOP...

don't "anti-progressives" just think the democrats are terrorists? combine that with the fact that they think fox news is telling us the truth about a second coming, and you get another area for paranoia.

conservatives can't tell the difference between a criticism and trying to ban something... because they never criticize anything they don't want to ban...

I would fight for Fox News' rights to stay on the air though... it's freedom of speech... even though I don't agree with what they say at times...

In a free nation we shouldn't be so quick to ban anything.

And no one wants to ban Fox News or Rush Limbaugh, no matter how nutty they are.
