Shortly after KK went public the company went wild with expansion and misread some of its competition(Starbucks/Dunkin' Donuts) in markets they have never been in before(Northeast). They still have a huge presence and are still expanding but they were internally misrepresenting their accounting and have had some difficulties in that area which put a huge damper on its stock price and has led to its difficulty finding its correct footing in the marketplace. Wonderful product with a flawed business strategy and questionable mgt has been the story at KK...........Now if Dunkin Donuts served KK donut products you'd have a killer combination because DD's donuts are marginal at best. They could not compete in the Boston area with the superior local product, Dunkin Donuts.

Now they should really start to worry since Dunkin was bought by a larger company with lots of cash that wants to expand them nationwide. Krispy Kreme you can run but you can not hide.

I love krispy kreme! They may have closed that store, but never the one near me! I give them all of my money because I like them and I work at a job.

I also like them because they taste great, are less filling and don't require ketchup on the side. That ketchup stuff can be messy and time consuming, especially if you are somebody who works.

Also, I like them because they go well with green beans and nobody has ever tried to hurt somebody with krispy kremes that I know of so I guess they are really peaceful. By that logic, If we were all krispy kremes there would be world peace and everyone would taste great and the heart attack doctors business would be thriving. Most heart attack doctors are real nice.

Other than that, I like them because you dont need to mix them with mayonaisse and green onion like a can of tuna, that can be a real pain in the butt. They are fine the way they are!

Also, I knew someone with a krispy kreme hat and another guy with a krispy kreme coffee travel mug. Both of them were real nice, and they were not even the same person, even though they both play golf.

Plus theres lots of selection so every day you can choose something different and you wont have the same one for like 3 weeks. I wish lots of things were like that!!

Your Arizona question is posted in BOSTON but just so you know....

Not sure where Maxy N lives in Boston MA but on Route 1 in Dedham Massachusetts near the Bed Bath & Beyond, there is a Krispy Kreme donut shop that is still open for business. YUM!

They are fine as a company. Sounds like that store closed up.

Several years ago, they expanded too quickly and overbuilt, so maybe retracting a bit. But "HOT DONUTS NOW" are still available. Don't worry.
