I still enjoy some of the music I listened to when I was 5. As a teen it was 15 , I knew every intro , every word. I grew away from the 50s music I enjoyed to the 60s then I was lured by the 70s, not so much the eighties and even less the 90s. Now I'm back to my beginnings 40s and 50s.

I was around 15 or 16 when I started listening to hard rock and heavy metal. That is my most favourite genre of music. I like country music because that is what I listened to growing up. I also like some songs from different genres. If the music speaks to me, I have to listen!

I listen to all the music (pretty much) I ever heard: If you put on the radio .it just keeps on being played,if it was any good the first time around!
But if you mean what would I buy, well,
Turns out I'm still buying the new stuff every now and again,I'd like to get that Snow Patrol song they used in Dr Who at the moment.
Perhaps you think because you love rock that is all you will ever want to listen to, I love rock too,but also acoustic, classical, indie, blah, blah, more than you can name:if it's good I don't care what category it's in

I was about 12 when I got my first 8-track tape--it was Paul McCartney and Wings' "Greatest"--but it was when I got my first real stereo (at 14--earned the money selling papers and bought it myself) and was first exposed to FM radio that I found my lifelong musical obsession--progressive rock. Rush was first, then Yes; later came Emerson, Lake and Palmer and the Moody Blues, with side-trips for Jefferson Starship (loved the SF slant), Kansas (a -violin- in a rock band?), and Genesis (they were prog-rock at first, but in a very weird way). I still listen to all that stuff today, and wish the style would come back into fashion...if it has, mainstream radio isn't playing it!

Before I was born. When my mom was pregnant with me, she used to listen to the oldies (but at that time, it wasn't considered oldies). I was born in 1972 and love the music from the 50's to the 70's. Most of the music I listen to came out when I was just a twinkle in my Daddy's eye.
