I think that one good compromise is that God created the Big Bang and the attendant laws and behavior of physics, which were designed to simply crank along and produce us 14.7 billion years later.
To me, that's the ultimate Intelligent Design and evidence of God's power; start the clockworks running all by themselves for billions of years, doesn't need winding, doesn't need adjustment.
Moreover, he included silicon as an element, from which we make computers and electronics so that we can commune with each other and discuss topics like this.

It is always impossible to disprove the existence of something which you can't see, which NOBODY has ever seen, and which there is no evidence one way or another for its existence. But you can't say "since you can't prove god doesn't exists, he exists", that is the dumbest argument ever. You can't prove the Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't exist either, but does that mean he exists? You can't prove that life on a planet 100 trillion light years away doesn't exist, but does that mean it exists?
Sorry, I know you asked for the best argument and I gave the dumbest argument, but the truth is there is no "good argument" when it comes to debating the existence of god, because whether you believe in a god or not it all comes down to faith, not fact.

Mmmmm much of the bible seems to contradict the observations of Astronomy:
The earth is flat:
Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Whats more it seems to be a quadralateral
Revelation 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
Stars fall from the sky when there is an earthquake:
Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
Heaven controls the rain:
11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

I dont like to speculate on it anymore. Life is too short to waste time arguing with people about it.
My opinion is: we have no idea and considering the fact God(if there is one) seems content on leaving us in the dark concerning its existence. We may be asking this question for a LONG time to come.
However in the meantime I'm really enjoying freewill. So think I'm going to stick with that for awhile.

I personally do not believe in God but I think the best argument for God's existence is that it is impossible to prove that God does NOT exist.

I'd say the best argument for, is the old cliche: If God didn't exist, we would have to invent him. Run that around the block exactly twice and you end up right back where you started.

Religion is a matter of faith, not science. You cannot prove the existence of God, nor can you disprove it. That's why religion is not science, nor is "intelligent design".

The only proof that a skeptic may accept is impossible to attain. Proof of that type is not necessary for the believers.
Not everyone needs proof of something to believe in it. We have what we call faith.
