i recently had unprotected sex about 4 days after my cycle ended. im just trying to find out how high a chance is i could get pregnant. i havent finished my first week of pills, and want to know if its safe to continue

I really have no idea if i really could be pregnant, im just wondering if i should be concerned much. i have to wait atleast 3 weeks to take a test since this just happened thursday. thats why i ask if it is safe to continue the pill.

Typically a woman doesn't ovulate until 11-14 days after the first day of her last menstrual period. ( the first day you started bleeding) So if you bleed 5 days then that would put you at day 9. However, sperm can live for a couple days in the proper conditions. There is a small chance you could be pregnant, but there have been studies done showing that babies born of mothers who took the pill while pregnant had no adverse effects. I also know a girl who took the pill while she was pregnant and has a very beautiful and smart 2 year old daughter. I would keep taking the pill for now. Call your doctor asap and ask for his/her opinion. Hope this helps.

Before assuming that you are pregnant you should take a pregnancy test. Once you find out the results if you are pregnant you should stop taking the pill.
You could find out that your pregnant even if you have not missed a period. Try the First Response it worked for me and I am 36 weeks pregnant now.. Good Luck!!!!

Your not supposed to be taking the pill if you think you might be pregnant. Take a pregnancy test ASAP. You can talk to a pharmacist near you and let them know how many days it has been and if you can get a reading on these test already.

NO NO NO...... It really could hurt you and the baby if you are pregnant and continue to take the pill. If I were you I would stop and wait to seeif you start. Just be careful in the mean time.

no u should not continue to take the pill until you know for certain if you are pregnant or not,, then u will have to take it for a month to work so u will be safe..

Don't stop your pill until you find out for sure. If you are not, then you mess up your protection. If you think you are, then take a test as soon as possible.
