I'm in the Englewood area. I need to find an apartment or house for like under $600 bucks a month. I moved down here because my aunt offered me a place to live and while I was driving down (from Michigan) she took off. So now I'm here, with my boyfriend, and we need somewhere to live.
So any ideas for affordable housing?
Thanks in advance everyone

Sorry to say this, but Englewood is not a cheap area to find houses or apartments, I have searched and the cheapest I saw was $950.00. I live on the east coast and the cheapest place I have to rent is $675.00, unfortunately with the housing costs in Florida going up so high, the rents have followed. You can check Realtor.com and alot of the larger real estate companies do show rentals on their web sites. Good Luck KG

You might want to try checking out the bulletin board at the local grocery stores or even drive around the neighborhoods looking for "for rent" signs. I've found that most of the best cheap apts aren't advertised because the owners either want someone from the area or don't want to adverise that they even have an apt (tax reasons...).

go on line and put in www.flordia apartments for rent a whole bunch of web sites will appear, then you just put in the admount of which you are least willing to pay to the most and what is aviable will pop up, with pictures and information about the place, they tell you things like it has a pool, tennis court, stock pond, laundry room, and closed to the bus lines some even have virtual tours you can take i play around from time to time on that site i hoping to move back to flordia in a couple of years so i like to keep myself imformed

Check the local paper, or with a good Realtor.
