There's two ways to to these,

put a floor jack under the lower ball joint area, disconnect the lower ball-joint and shock and ease the jack down letting the control arm swing fully down, but it can be a task popping the spring in and out, especially the new tall spring, and getting the lower ball-joint back can be hard if your not experienced.

Or another way that seems like it would be a b itch, but is actually rather easy, is to support the lower control arm in the center with the floor jack and remove the two bolts that hold the lower control arm to the vehicle, (the pivot bolts), by doing it this way you do not have to bust down and reinstall the lower ball-joint,

about being killed, just put a small piece of chain through the coil-spring to the vehicle, thus preventing it from flying out

and stay out from under the vehicle when performing the control are removal and reinstall, because as you know you lifting vehicle weight off the support stands when doing this, and you don't need to have a jack-stand tip, cutting off a foot.

there not as hard as you think
