I haven't gotten my ears pierced, okay? I know it's supposed to be just a pinch, but I don't like the idea of having a permanent hole in my ear. I started to get interested in clip-on earrings, looking at them at Claire's and stuff like that. But there isn't that many clip-on earrings at Claire's that I like. And I see these much more gorgeous fishhook earrings. So could you tell me ways to turn fishhook earrings into clip-on earrings? Is there a kit for this? Please don't just say, "Just get your ears pierced!", because I'm not going to unless you can prove to me that ALL pierced holes eventually completely close up.

Thanks for your answers! :)

Dr. Phillis, I'm just saying if someone can say that my body would not have permanent holes AFTER the healing process, I'd be happy to pierce my ears. It would just be comforting because I would know I could wear those cute real earrings knowing that when I get tired of earrings, I won't have a pierced hole when I'm eventually a little old lady. ;)

YOu can go to michaels and to hobby lobby and they have the parts to make the clip on earrings from start to finish with the clips. you have to buy all the parts separately but it can be done. now i know there might be a converter from a pierced ear to a clip but they don't sell it but you would probably have to check ebay or something like that . a clip on converter i think... And why would someone have to prove that the holes close up. that defeats the whole purpose... only way it will completely close up is if you take it out during the healing process which is the initial time you pierce your ears. I had my cartiledge pierced the top at my ear, and it was bothering me and it didn't heal all the way and was forming a keloid, so i took it out and it closed up completely, and the keloid went away because i didn't keep it in for about like a week or 2. but if you keep it in forever then wait, then no it won't. and it just depends on the person whatever you get pierced.

You can go to your local craft store and buy the clip on fastenings. Using a pair of pliers or such, undo the fastenings to the fish hook part. Depending on how the fastenings are you can attach them with a glue gun or a piece of wire. Also search online or craft fairs for earrings.
