I can understand your worry, but it sounds like you're not pregnant. If you still need to set your mind at ease, see a doctor who can check you and tell you for sure. There are also a few options if it happens again in future, and you could discuss those with your doctor as well. I live in Canada so going to the doctor doesn't require forking over cash, so if you are in the US, it may not be as easy for you. If this happens again, there is a semi-controversial 'morning-after' pill which can be prescribed to you. Some doctors don't believe in them for personal or religious reasons, as some people believe it is 'messing with nature'. Part of what it does is it prevents a fertilized egg from embedding in the uterine lining, thus preventing pregnancy. For some who believe that a life should be protected from the moment of conception, this method is equivalent to a very very very early abortion. There are also spermicides you can use for future sexual encounters, like a spermicidal sponge which can be inserted a while beforehand and then even if the condom breaks, you've got some added protection. It doesn't protect against STDs, though, so don't leave the condom out! Good luck! :)

If you were pregnant, you would probably not be having a period anymore. Also you would most likely have had morning sickness. I had morning sickness from week 6 until week 16. I felt crappy all the time and you could tell from my appearance that something was definitley different. If it would make you feel better, take another pregnancy test or go to a free clinic to talk to someone. Chances are -your safe.

A friend of mine had her period for 3 months and nothing showed on the home pregnancy test. She finally found out she had been pregnant when she went to the doctor to get a better test after she began to show.
Go to your doctor or a free clinic and get a decent test.

You wont have to worry so much if you use an IUD its 98.99 percent effective. I love mine and its good for 10 years the new one they came out with is good for 5 yrs and it really does slow your period down if your a heavy bleeder. Ask your obgyn about the Marina or just the IUD in general. It allowed me to plan for all three of my children. I have used that method since I was 18 and I'm 34 now. I had my IUD removed in may and conceived that month!

You would have had morning sickness, your breasts would have been swollen and enlarged, you would have gotten a lot thicker around the waist, you'd be exhausted, you'd probably gain a couple of pounds, have a very heavy vaginal discharge and would almost definitely NOT have your period. I think you can stop worrying.

You are more likely to get a false negative than a false positive, so take another test
