People who resort to insult usually feel threatened.
Some people do not have a sense of humor, and I've always thought that they should be horse-whipped.

Well, I'm a republican. But since you seem to be dressed like the Pope, I won't take offense. I asked a question like this a while back. Good answers were: they are are not well, power trip, nothing better to do, etc. Some people have no humor button. You can't change mental attitude without boo-coo bucks. Closed minded, same deal. I don't think I'm too funny, but I could not pass up this question. Ciao! (God bless. Go and sin no more!)

I would dare say they are hateful individuals that cannot clearly and logically make an arguement. I would further say that it is not mostly Republicans. It appears pretty equal to me. I have been called vile things for my opinions on this web site - the names I will not repeat. Some of the more tame, but still proving my point include, psychofant, toothless redneck, illiterate, stupid. I evenhad one liberal question whether I as really a mother to anything other than three cats. The name-calling is certainly not limited to the left or right, and it is un-fair and balanced.

To be quite honest, I agree that they are mostly Republicans as well. When I first started on this site, I was not for or against anyone, but after the mud slinging that goes on, mostly from the right, I have to say that I trust that part of America less and less. Don't get me wrong, the left has done name calling of its own, but the right will not let anyone alone unless they say exactly what they want to hear. I have been called everything from an idiot to an adulterous, alcoholic, drug addict and I'm not married and haven't drank a lick or touched any kind of drug. The worst part about it is that some of these people call themselves Christians.

Republicans aren't without humor. It may be a perverted sense of humor to others, but it still is a sense of humor.

It's interesting that you call others close minded and then stereotype based on political preference.
