ok well it must be possible cuz i did lol but it was really weird...the phone number was just 973...nothing else...and i let it go to voicemail and it was someone speaking in spanish i believe. I don't know how thats possible to get a phone number with just 3 digits. I know 973 is an area code in NJ but this was the only number. Anyone have a clue? lol

It's not possible. Somehow the number must have been blocked. If you have a concern, call your local police and make a complaint. For all you know, the person speaking whatever language it was could have been threatening you. The police can find the information on the call from the phone company.
In all probablilty it was just a wrong number.

possible bug on your phone , Or it could be the phone company.
