and why not "danger-high current" instead of voltage?

You can have a low voltage and high current, which is still deadly, but it does not leap out at you. If you have a high voltage, then depending on how high the voltage, how close you can get to the connections without it jumping out at you.

"Danger high-voltage" gives people a lot of "THIS IS ELECTRIC!" message. It means that there is a lot of electricity going through it.
Danger high-current doesn't sound as lethal, also, a current is strong moving water in ther ocean, so some people might get mixed up.

High voltage has more meaning to more people than high current.

It means "Keep Away"

It means it could be deadly or extremely hazardous to your health

I think voltage and current kill you just as dead if they are high enough

because current and voltage are different things. it
is the voltage that kills you. the current describes
how the voltage is delivered.
