when you turn on the heat there are three little door things (I don't know what they are called). One blows at you, one blows at your feet, and one is the defroster. The one used to defrost the windows blows are but not as strongly as the others but it stays partially shut. Could you explain the detailed steps of fixing this and what to do, that would be a big a help thanks.

Those are your air vents. To be honest, I'm not quite sure but it sounds like you need to make sure nothing has fallen in the defroster one because it is highly likely because it is up on the dash. Muscle the thing open if you have to. If it happens to break when doing so, don't fret. Your local junkyard is a veritable graveyard of 1994 Chevy Cavaliers. I have a Chevy Lumina Euro, 1992 with almost 200,000 miles on it. It still passes smog the first time around and runs good and strong. But there were just as many Luminas in the junkyard as there was Cavaliers, followed closely by Corsicas. LOL! Just thought I would let you know that useless little fact.

Turn the lever to defrost only & it should blow only through there, it could be filled with dust & dirt & may need to be taken apart from under the hood & cleaned out. You have to take the blower fan off the back fire wall & get inside there with a long drain snake & a vacum.

The mode door could be binding, or some object has fallen down into the door and has it jammed .Not easy to get to repair ,take it to a pro.
