Yes, it would be awkward and unorthoxdox. There has to be a reason why your company makes you use laptops. You could bring your own mouse, though.

Nope, but make sure that they don't start considering part of their inventory. Put "property of your name" on the back. Monitors vary in quality sharpess and contrast. Some people can be very bothered by cheap monitors. Plus it's always nice to have like 4 Desktops if you have that many video cards.

i know what u mean, i HATE laptops, its so hard to type, its like ur squeezed in a box. unfortunately, i think it would be really weird to take your own monitor to work. but if u don't care about people staring at u, then go right ahead.

In and even through the mid In the early 1980s I brought my own computer to work. I was the "nerd" that no one understood. What they did understand was my ability to bring in business. Even my older than me, and I am old, boss, realized what I was doing brought in business. But in the early 1980s it was weird. No one had a "modem" and no one knew what the internet was.

If it helps you work more efficiently, or more easily, then by all means take it to work. You might want to check your insurance coverage, however, to make sure it is still covered by home insurance even though it lives in your office. Have you asked your office manager about having a desk top computer installed at your work station?
