One not to buy would be Baby Trend car seat. I have one and it is very heavy. I think you would be probably want to look at Graco or Evenflo for a lighter infant seat. In my opinion, I felt safer putting my child in the Baby Trend infant seat. It just felt safer to me. I don't know what the weight is on it, but you might want to try Britax or Fisher Price(made by Britax only cheaper). These car seats have a good safety rating.

Carrying your baby in a sling is the way to go! Carseats are all roughly the same weight, and then add more weight as baby grows. If I did have to pick one thouugh, it would be Graco.

definalty the peg perago one...it is so great and it fits in a shopping cart too, in the front ...and clicks in for safety....i love mine
