If so can anyone provide me with a great site for retrieving one, because i'm sort of an online person.

Ecommerce businesses do not require a business license to operate. So far, none of the states require licenses for an online business to operate.

Business registration, yes. Sales and use tax, yes. Assumed business name or DBA, yes. But not business licenses.

Here are some states that list the professions that require licenses and none of them are ecommerce businesses:

I have 2 different e-commerce sites and I have a seller's certificate for my state. If I sell to someone in my own state I need to remember to collect sales tax. The rest is reported on my income tax.

yes you do ,and you must pay taxes too.
