Imagine this: You're tied to a stake and savages are about to light the logs under your feet.

So, class, what do you do?

Cut and run!

How about this one? Evil-doers have tied you to the railroad tracks and the Teheran Express is bearing down on you. If you have any brains at all, whatcha gonna do?

Cut and run!

President George Bush has been accusing Democrats of having a reasonable, coherent Iraq policy: getting out alive. "Cut and run" for short.

Of course, most Democrats have denied having a "clear-cut" program on Iraq, preferring, "setting a firm date for phased withdrawal." We don't know what that date is, but if it's anything later than Thursday, the policy is a fudge. Sorry, but "gnaw and wiggle" won't do. Cut and run gets the job done. Gets you the heck out of harm's way. When that runaway truck is careening down the jogging track, you don't 'Stay the Course.'

Try it yourself: Cut and run can be fun!

If pirates tie a boulder to your neck, what should you do, kids?

Cut and run!

Or, let's say you've got the wires to Dick Cheney's pacemaker in your hand. What should you do? (No, no, no! Be kind.) Speaking of cut and run- there's still corporations getting their cut in Iraq. Reminds me of Vietnam.....I'm a 1st Lt, sneaking around in the bad guys country with 5-8 men trying to develope intelligence about the enemy's movements. When we came under heavy fire, we popped 2-3 smoke grenades each and ran the other way a few hundred yards. Then, we called 'Red Dragon' and answered the enemies fire with 105, 155 and 4.2" artillery fire in copious amounts. Usually the rest of the day was a walk in the park...... Back to Iraq. We went in there and 'liberated' them, then our leader did not have enough sense to anticipate a civil uprising (Hey, what else is a Moslem going to do? They fight each other over some fued that began 1200 years ago, have never progressed toward common human civility and repress any movement toward moderation under threat of death from their clerics). To leave now isn't even cut and run, it is good military strategy. Let the 3 prominant factions kill a few tens of thousands of one another and then go in and establish 'freedom'. LOL As if they understand the concept. No, it is long past time to leave no matter what it is called. Limited wars are always nasty little affairs. We should not go to war at all. And if we are absolutely forced into war it should be like it was in WWI. Hell, we sent 'over there' a quarter of a million men a month for the first few months of the war. What would the situation be in Iraq if we had 3-4 million men there? They could rename Bahgdad, New New York (sic) and not a damn thing would happen. But that isn't going to eventuate, so let's get our boys home before we have more casualties.

Cut and run - Americans certain love their cliches, chiefly the ones unfold through president Bush. There isn't any hazard on the earth that the impeachment could occur. Any severe strive at it could tie up Congress for months, simply as occurred whilst the Republicans attempted to question Clinton, and that was once with a major Republican majority in each residences. Kucinich made his factor, and permit his role be recognized. Nuff mentioned.

I'm a "Cut and Run" person, however, it doesn't mean by next thursday. It means by turning the country by over to the Iraqi's and letting them run the day to day business. If the Shia's and the Sunni's want to kill themselves, that's their business. The minority ruled through force for decades, now maybe its the majorities turn, which is just natural. We go thru cycles here in the US with Rep. and Dem. at the helm in the Capitol. Its natural.

Yes, allot will die, but that's Bush's fault for disbanding the Iraqi Army in the first place.
