How do you feel about the 'black & white' twin babies?

The dark skinned baby is just as black as the light skinned baby. They have the same parents only they received different genes. If the one drop rule is still in effect, then the blue-eyed blonde baby is still black right? How come stars like Halle Berry are called black when they are really just mixed, and this little light twin is called white? Mixed people should not be called black or white, they should be called mixed. It irritates me.

Also, they act as if it is such a terrible thing that the one came out darker. The darker twin is much more cute than the bald light twin that resembles Elmer Fud, and this seems to be the case with most mixed people. Obviously whites have it better in this country, but not when it comes to looks. A mixed heritage always makes for a better looking person in my view.

Nikki you're right. I am bitter. Even though the white baby is ugly, I still wish I was white, you just get treated better in this country when you are white.

I believe they are only being referred to as black and white because of their skin colour. They are both interracial children. I think it's amazing, and quite the story to tell. Who was acting like the darker one was so terrible? Perhaps you're just being sensitive to this, because I didn't get that feeling from the articles I saw on the subject.
Chill. Take it easy. It's just a couple kids...and they have nothing to do with you. Insulting the lighter kid shows that perhaps you've got a problem with skin colour. Shame on YOU!

The one drop rule is phony in my opinion. If that is the case then we all are blacks. Whites come from blacks rather you like it or not. Hispanics are basically black if that is the case. Their ancestors do not consist of just Spaniards and the indigenous people.....black slaves were brought there too. Probably half of the white population aren't even fully white because of what happened with slave masters raping black slaves. In this day in age it shouldn't even matter if someone is black or white because we all trace back to the same place...AFRICA. Plus everyone is pretty much mixed with something else other then white,black, or asian. We are all basically one race and that is HUMAN so why should it matter?

If most white men dated black women there would be a lot more brown people out there than there is now. Maybe some of the reason that in your area that white men prefer black women is simply because of the woman's attitude toward him and not the color of her skin.

Why are you making such a big deal about color? Also, how can you make fun of that baby's looks? I think your views are extremely ignorant by making a comment that a mixed heritage makes for a better looking person. I can almost guarantee the parents of these beautiful twins are extremely happy, but it's people like you that make color such a huge issue.

Even lighter skinned blacks make fun of the darker blacks, not saying it's right but it's true. Different people have different preferences, you're obviously into darker people while I'm more into lighter skinned folk. Its all based on our experience, I'm a pretty well learned person but I don't hang out with very many non-whites and lack social experience with minorities, it's all about familiarity and learning. People are neither good nor evil since both terms are just abstracts, surly somebody doing evil things doesn't think it's evil and even if they do it's still good to them, after all Hitler thought he was doing a good thing.

I think they are adorable and will serve to enlighten the world about supposed racial inequality. If that is not proof positive that people are just people I don't know what could be more profound.
If a bible has a white or black cover on the outside is it not the same book inside ? If you purchase a new car say a honda accord ...you can get it in white or black or blue or green or red...but it's the same car inside. If you cut open people ...we all bleed red and we are the same on the inside...so what's up with the big color thing anyway? People are just afraid of culture differences and stereotype that fear into a racial category.

First of all that link you gave just shows me a blank white page....anyhow....I think that if you give the world a few more generations....or at least the United States there will be very few "whites" or " blacks"....everyone will have a beautiful caramel hue and there will be no discrimination.....because everyone will look the same...I mean that is the entire problem right....how we look....so to a blind person we are all the same....sometimes I wish more people were blind....

I believe that both the twins have the same genotype but different phenotypes. Both are mixed race. Neither one of them is white however the darker one is more black than the other because it inherited more black genes.

because they are black, mixed is not a race,,and the reason why is the black DNA does dominate...however with the twin situation that does not happen to often how ever even though the lighter baby is has less pigment she is still black....even though both have interracial DNA...and NO BLACK PEOPLE ARE BEAUTIFUL WITH OUT BEING MIXED....AND ONE OVER THE OTHER DOES NOT MAKE IT BETTER. YOU MAY HAVE NOT JUST BEEN BLESSED WITH LOOKS, Cause I know plenty of other people from many diffrent races have beautiful people.
