since my wife left 2y ago its just me and the kids and i wouldnt know where to start where the opposite sex are concerned

then why post this in the gay and lesbian section unless you meant to ask about guys fancying other guys over 50.

You know not alot of folks here are going to know about the opposite sex either. Unless you are looking for a MTF transgendered or a bisexual woman. But more than likely if she is on this forum, she's not all that interested in men.
However, men over 50 can be very hot and sexy. You need to take care of yourself and stick to women in your age bracket. Also don't talk about your ex wife leaving you. It makes you sound remorseful, desperate and pathetic. Not attractive features when trying to date. Talk about the future, keep your attitude upbeat. Do something other than play on the computer and watch tv. If you have a passion of some sort, get involved in that. So that when you do run into someone you think you would like to date, you'll have something in common to talk about. Good luck, and next time pay attention to where you are posting.

Not to sound as though this is a proposition, but if life were different I would. I'm on that mound. What did you do to attract your wife? Modify that to present day and be creative. Add a few new twists. Have faith in yourself and what you want...the right person will come along.

here's a hint, the gay and lesbain section is probably NOT the best place to find a woman! perhaps church or the pta (women love good dads) thats it i'm out of ideas, i look for gay men, completely different criteria.....good luck
