Some people tell me, anythings possible if you know what you want and you just go for it. Some people tell me that you take what you can get and try to make the best of it. These are 2 completely opposite point of views. I just want to know if chasing your dreams is as a ridiculous a concept as so many people have over and over again, told me, or..is it just something that requires a whole lot of hard work?

i agree with both, but i agree more with chasing ur dreams. don't be afraid to take risks just to try to acheive more. if ur job or lifestyle right now is good if u have a family, than stay with it. sometimes completing ur dreams, won't pay as much money, but i think acheiving ur dreams is worth a lot more than money. remember money is only a materialistic object, ur dreams r more important. remember living life is all about acheiving ur dreams, or else u won't get anywhere in life that u want. good luck.

I think that chasing your dreams is always more admirable, but you have to look at the odds for any particular dream. If someone dreams of becoming a Dr., well if you work hard enough it's attainable. Whereas if someone dreams that they are going to invent the cure for Cancer, well, that may be a little unrealistic. I think with anything you have to take the probability of it happening into consideration when chasing dreams, but knowing when to stop if it's gotten out of hand and progress isn't being made.

Hey this is from another wuestion I just found and right up your alley!!
"Keep away from people those who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great."
I'm think(ing) he was a pretty smart guy.

I guess it depends on how deeply you feel about this. "Off the beaten path" is harder work, yes; but if the moving force behind your work is your heart, then that's more powerful than following in another's footprints.

Chase your dreams. Just keep your feet on the ground and leave the balloons to do the flying.

-Sell your cleverness and purchase wonder.

the concept of chasing is running to catch something. which can tire a person out quiet easily. those of us who just sit around and dont run after what we really want will not ever really be satisfied with what we get if we desire the chase.

chasing "your" dream is not a waste of time bit you must be realistic, i.e., a guy 5'-5", 140 lbs. is going to have a hard time breaking into the NFL. if your dream is attainable,GO FOR IT! its better to have chased your dream and not catch it, than to have not chased your dream at all!
