Meant to say best COMEDY of the century not best film - I certainly cant think of a better comedy since then?

Your head has to be in a certain place to watch Monty Python. Like it's the same with Little Britain It was interesting and in places funny. But not the film of the century.
Sean of the dead was very funny alot better than Monty Python anyway.

I think Monty Python and the Holy Grail is the better comedy of the two, but Monty Python's The Life Of Brian is one of best MOVIES of all time - stuff Citizen Kane and serious stuff like that, LOB is the greatest.

best comedy perhaps? from start to finished i cried laughing. even the short films at the beginning 'away from it all' - a fake travelogue was hysterical. Did you see it in the cinema?
Sadly most comedies today now begin funny - suddenly realise they need a plot (usually about gangsters in he case of Hollywood) and forget all about humour. suddenly at the end some one will stick a few gags in. To compensate for lack of comedy they'll then stick out takes over the credits sending us merry from the cinema.
Meet the Parents was the last comedy i really rated - but Life of Brian was something else. remember those poor roman guards trying not to laugh at the name Biggus Dickus?

Best comedy of the century definetly,but for me the best film is The Chronicles of Riddick. But then I am a huge Vin fan so probably biased...!

I wouldn't say "best film of the century" but would definitely put it in the Top 50.
Personally, I liked MONTY PYTHON & THE HOLY GRAIL better.

Guess I will have to pull out the DVD of it (which BTW I got at Wal-Mart for about 5 dollars) and watch it again. I've only watched it once and didn't think it was that good. HOWEVER, - I couldn't tell you how many times I've watched the Holy Grail. In my opinion the Holy Grail is the best comedy ever made.
Now go away before I taunt you a second time-ah!!!

No not best film of the century, but very funny when first out. Seen it too many times now.

I love that Movie. I think some of the jokes are so funny. I love the final scene were Brian is on the cross and there is the sucide squad and everyone think that he is a matyr, when in fact he doesn't want to die. And then the final song is so funny.
